ROBERT BERMAN GALLERY is pleased to present The 35 Year Anniversary Show, celebrating our 35 years of showing contemporary and modern art in all mediums. To commemorate this anniversary, we will be exhibiting throughout the fall a four month, rotating sampling of artists and artworks which we have presented at one of our seven different locations, throughout our 35 years in business in Santa Monica.

From our first solo artist exhibition with local artist Zox in 1979, through to our most recent summer 2014 exhibition of photographer Murray Garrett, we will be presenting samplings of some very well known artists such as: Keith Haring, Raymond Pettibon, Cameron Jamie, Daniel Joseph Martinez, Bill Barminski, Alex Prager and Shepard Fairey.

Starting in the1980's, ROBERT BERMAN GALLERY was one of the first galleries in Los Angeles to exhibit, in mass, Chicano street artists and muralists. Presently exhibiting with the gallery and will be a featured artist in our 35 Year Anniversary Exhibition is chicano muralist and painter John Valadez. Valadez will also be our premier artist for our January 2015 exhibition.

As a focus on the 1990's, ROBERT BERMAN GALLERY will also feature a sampling from our three seminal shows: Man Ray: Paris – LA, Concrete and Buckshot: The Works of William S. Burroughs, George Herms: Beat Bar, all of which were presented in conjunction with Track 16 Gallery.

Advancing in on the 2000's ROBERT BERMAN GALLERY presented between its three exhibition spaces in Santa Monica, C2, D5 and B7 as well as at the San Francisco location E6 Gallery, a collection of exhibitions including: Alex Steinweiss "The Creator of the Album Cover", Alex Prager's first solo exhibition Polyester; Will Rise featuring the works of TheSeventhLettter, Rock Paper Scissor (Featuring: Raymond Pettibon, Daniel Johnston, Ron English, Thurston Moore, Gibby Haynes), Vagos Y Reinas (Retna & The Mac), the album covers of Shepard Fairey, Charles Brittin: Vintage Photographs, Transformation the works of Robert Heinecken and Victor Landweber, Paid to Play Illustrating LA (Featured: Charles White III, Dave Willardson, Bob Zoell, Mark Ryden, Todd Schorr), Just Occupy - Ted Soqui, Shepard Fairey, Christopher Felver on the LA Occupy Movement.
