''Meticulosity''
Tanya Batura, Hilary Brace, Eileen Cowin, Linda Hudson, Gegam Kacherian, Sandeep Mukherjee, Ross Rudel, Linda Stark, Arthur Taussig, and others
Meticulosity features the work of 11 Southern California based artists who each work in various genres ranging from painting to installation to digital/virtual formats. The title references both the technical / formal approach and tenacity of the artists.
Description:
The Ben Maltz Gallery presents a diverse program of group and solo exhibitions in a variety of media. It serves Los Angeles' vigorous art community and the city's diverse public at large, while acting as an important resource for Otis students and faculty. The program engages a wide range of contemporary art and ideas through exhibitions, catalogues, and public events. Highlighting work that pushes the frontiers of traditional form and subject matter, the Gallery typically exhibits emerging and established Los Angeles artists and designers, placing them in the context of national and international programming. The Gallery both originates and participates in national touring exhibitions.
