LOS ANGELES, CA (February 22nd, 2014) LA Artcore offers a show of three women who portray significant individuality through their seasoned art practices.  This show is an opportunity to experience the way painters, differing in approach yet in full possession of the confidence that comes from mature practices, can create a complimentary space within a gallery.  An exhibit like this reveals one of the more subtle lessons of art, the naturally occurring harmony between displays of skill.

Ann Gooding works from her studio in Joshua Tree, where she soaks up the intensity of the light and translates her experience of nature into pure abstraction.  Her works are stimulating and

ever evolving from exhibit to exhibit, revealing both the light touch of consideration, with careful layers of color, and an inclination towards craftsmanship, carving revealing marks into surfaces, and other imprints of movement.

Ann Phong creates deep, turbulent paintings that rise above the canvas plane like crashing waves.  Her work involves a great deal of modeling, and a profound use of colors that distinguish and unify like light playing on the surface of the ocean.  An active leader in the Vietnamese community here in L.A., and a seasoned art educator, Phong lives the creative life with an intensity and dedication few artists can claim to match.

Kaoru Mansour is in possession of a talent that knows little limitation, but reveals its sophistication and experience through what she puts into her work.  Combining music and vision, she is active in the jazz world and a prolific painter.  Producing work that contains balance and rhythm, she creates curious chimeras that harmonize recognizable elements from the natural world with details and ornaments of abstraction.  Like nature, delicate balance within her composition results in vibrant, eye-catching effects.
