LOS ANGELES, CA (NOV. 2014) LA Artcore presents an exhibit of three artists with very distinct approaches towards art making.  Combining painting and sculpture, the show will combine visual variations that engage the mind in far-reaching directions.

Rachel Stiff is an abstract painter whose colorful, experimental surfaces drift between familiar forms and the suggestion of fantastic landscapes, yet her work is abstraction in its purest sense.  Working from feeling, allowing the action and her process to guide the arc of evolution in the piece, it is her handling of color and space that draws reactions of delight and surprise from viewers.

Jimmy Centeno produces minimal sculptures frequently employing found materials, which results in a kind of earth colored cast and further takes the objects to the level of subtle, whispering suggestions of tangible objects.  The artist also paints murals, and is known for two along the Hollywood Freeway, 'Viaje' and 'Un homenaje a la Mujer Latinoamericana.'

Gao Yan Song is a successful artist visiting from Beijing.  His work shifts from being an exhibiting visual artist, and a performance artist, poet, and rock musician.  Artcore will be showing his sculpture, structures and models of buildings constructed out of ordinary cardboard, or signage, and other ephemeral materials, charged with reflective opportunity and yet simple, combining silhouettes of traditional Chinese forms with the by-products of consumption.
